Items Needed: Cherry Lime Sweet & Sour Sauce Parmesan Basil Garlic Butter ¾ cup Uncle Bens Converted Rice
2.25 cups water
¼ cup brown, wild or colored rice
2 cups (equivalent 1 whole bell pepper) chopped Bell Peppers in multiple colors
½ cup chopped onion
¼ cup pine nuts
¼ cup maraschino cherries
1 whole lime sliced or in wedges
Combine rice, water plus 2 tablespoons garlic butter in rice cooker and turn on.
Alternative: (use small pot with lid and follow instructions for cooking rice)
In Skillet melt 2 tablespoons garlic butter, add peppers, onions & pine nuts and fully coat
Add pepper/onion sauté to fully cooked rice, add Sweet & Sour Sauce and stir. Garnish with cherries and lime slices Serve with any meat dish. Goes well with Sweet & Sour Chicken
